Abstract

|
Objectives: This case study reports on the effectiveness of traditional Korean medicine in treating Parkinson¡¯s disease.
Method: A patient with Parkinson¡¯s disease was treated with herbal medicine, acupuncture, and pharmacopuncture. The improvement in Parkinson¡¯s disease symptoms was measured using self-evaluation of the change in symptoms.
Results: The use of traditional Korean medicine treatments appeared to show improvement in Parkinson¡¯s disease symptoms.
Conclusion: The results of this case study suggest that traditional Korean medicine may be a possible treatment option for Parkinson¡¯s disease.
